Personally, I think that SOPA is just to lobby money. Because if US gov puts up a scare like this, google, facebook etc will have to give them lobbyist money/donations to “influence” the politicians not to go through with it. And every day shutting down google/facebook will cost them millions in revenue. So a few millions to give the politicians so their site doesn’t get shut down forever is worth it right?
It’s pretty sad that people my age need Wikipedia to go offline for them to know about SOPA, it seems when the MSM don’t cover something that they have no idea about it and a lack of independent research through alternative media is the foundation to Fascism and Totalitarian rule in this modern era.
It’s especially sad because this bill has been discussed in congress months ago, and Obama signed it to the senate during the Christmas period (as well as the NDAA) and everyone was too busy partying. What the American people don’t realise that Obama effectively signed away their civil liberties when he promised during his election he would veto these bills.
As I been saying for the past few months, although I may not agree with Ron Paul 100%, he is the best option for America right now.
He’s the only one that can rebuilt america and restore liberty and freedom.
